ROCKET FLIGHTS UNDER FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION
REGULATION FAR 101.27
The following rocket motors can be flown under new Federal Aviation Administration Regulation 101, Section 101.27, Notice Requirements as of February 2nd, 2009, without FAA notification or waiver requirements.
All A through G impulse motors from all manufacturers, both single use and reloadable.
H impulse motors (29mm and 38mm)
Aerotech - H55, H123, H128, H148, H165, H180, H210, H220, H238, H242, H250, H669
Cesaroni - H123, H125, H225, H400
Loki - H90, H100, H160
Motors not specifically listed above exceed the 125 gram (4.4 ounce) propellant limit, and cannot be flown without FAA notification or waiver.
Additionally, any rocket vehicle flown on a rocket motor listed above cannot exceed a maximum liftoff weight of 1500 grams (3.3 pounds)
